More about me
"Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better." ~ Maya Angelou
I survived 15 years of middle school because of two passions: learning and helping people. As an educator, I was able to blend them to create engaging learner-centered experiences for some of the toughest critics on the planet (teenagers). I really enjoy the iterative process of designing and developing content, and evaluating that content with learner feedback and data analysis, all while making improvements along the way.
As the pandemic changed the face of education, I pivoted instructor led content into the virtual world (among a million other things). I dove headfirst into researching and implementing new technology to create effective eLearning experiences. I realized this behind-the-scenes design and development work challenged me in new ways, stirred my creative side and promoted extensive growth, not only in my learners, but in myself as well. I needed more of this in my life!
Cue a career transition, where I can continue to help others learn, while also exploring my own untapped potential. In transferring my skills from one career to the next, I bring with me a strong collaborative and iterative nature. It's not my way, it's not your way - it's a better way. And in finding that better way, I've worked diligently to expand my skillset and extend my capabilities in learning and development. To become an expert of learning, you have to be willing to roll up the sleeves and dig in yourself.
I'm ready, let's dig!
